We’ll continue to update this article with news on Olave until the official active/inactive report comes out on Thursday around 6:50 p.m. ET.

Is Chris Olave playing Thursday night Week 7?

UPDATE: Olave wasn’t on the Saints estimated injury report on Monday, which is a good sign for his prospects of suiting up on Thursday.

UPDATE 2: Olave practiced in full on Tuesday and is reportedly “fully cleared” and “100 percent” for Thursday night’s game.

UPDATE 3: Olave is not on the Saints’ final injury report and will be a full-go against Arizona.

Despite practicing in full last Friday, Olave (concussion) was held out of Sunday’s game against Cincinnati. With more time to get through the NFL concussion protocol, there’s “optimism” Olave will return on Thursday against Arizona, according to beat writer Jeff Duncan. Duncan added that Michael Thomas (toe) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) were not expected to play.

Olave has quickly become a borderline WR1 in fantasy. He’s posted at least 13 PPR points in each of his past four games, including a 147-yard outburst in Week 3 and TDs in both Weeks 4 and 5. He’s a must-start whenever he’s on the field, regardless of who’s under center for New Orleans or which other WRs are healthy.

If Olave is out (in addition to Thomas and Landry), then Tre’Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway would be flex sleepers against Arizona’s below-average pass defense. The Cardinals have limited WR touchdowns (2), but they give up just over 233 passing yards per game. Smith has a higher ceiling, but Callaway has a slightly higher floor, at least in PPR leagues.

Normally, we wouldn’t bother recommending Smith or Callaway, but considering it’s a brutal week for byes (Bills, Eagles, Rams, Vikings) and plenty of other receivers are dealing with injuries, they could be your best options. The same is true for TE Juwan Johnson, who gets a plum matchup against Arizona’s league-worst TE defense.
