Bluepoint Games, a Texas-based developer that specializes in porting titles between platforms, is responsible for a number of these remakes; in the past, they handled both the God of War Collection and the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Now, by scouring Bluepoint’s job ads, some intrepid gamers think they’ve discovered the studio’s next big project, which they’re cheekily calling “The Master Thief Collection.”

That’s right. If the rumor mill is to be believed, Bluepoint is hard at work on a PlayStation 4 remaster of the Uncharted trilogy. Specifically, the studio recently started looking for developers to help with a remake of a “critically acclaimed franchise on a current-generation console.” The job ads list both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One as potential platforms, but the posts themselves imply that there’s only one console involved.

The evidence is compelling, if not exactly conclusive. The game in question was built on a proprietary engine, which rules out titles made with Unreal or Unity, but fits perfectly with Naughty Dog’s development pipeline. Further, late last year, Bluepoint recruited a character artist to bring a “AAA handheld product” to the PlayStation 4, fueling speculation that the Vita-exclusive Uncharted: Golden Abyss might be part of the package.

Of course, take all of this with an entire cup of salt. Even the would-be detectives at Push Square admit that they’re just “connecting dots,” and Bluepoint could be recruiting for an entirely different project. Still, development on this game - whatever it is - is expected to take around six months. Given that Uncharted 4 was recently delayed, that would give Sony just enough time to make sure that Nathan Drake still appears on the PlayStation 4 this holiday season, and would certainly help build excitement for a new Uncharted adventure later in 2016.
